Fairings

Fairings are cone-shaped or rounded parts that are designed to protect payloads from air resistance, and they can only be ejected once the rocket is in space. Typically, launching a rocket without any one of the fairings can result in the payload, then the rocket, getting destroyed by overheating. However, some parts such as the Crew Capsule don't require any fairings at all, given they are aerodynamic.
