PSA has had a major shutdown for several months, resulting in cancelled launches and projects cut back and delayed. The reason behind this is that there has been a huge hit in terms of rocket parts being available to the agency. With the completion of the new Eagle 8 in October 2018, the space industry changed forever, and changed how space travel could become partially reusable as a rocket (and not a shuttle). At Hangar No. 2b on the PSA site, only two fully completed Eagle 8s remain, with 5 other Eagle 8 1st Stages. These last two fully assembled rockets could get the PSA back on course, and a contract with the manufacturers of the Eagle 8 has enabled the agency to continue missions.

I'm back. Yay. All stories aside, I'll only launch miss…

    Let's go Interstellar!

    January 4, 2019 by Gegeneis

I wanted to say my wish out loud in hopes others think it's a cool idea and perhap it can be a future update.

I have a 450 module structure that I'm going to place over 1 Million units from HOM. I'm doing this because there are no planets or stars past the known system in the game. My idea:

    WE NEED MORE PLANETS!

My goal is to have something so far away that the need to resupply with massive cargo ships will be my new challenge. Imagine if more planets were tens of thousands.. or even millions of units away.. it could be the same solar system and just repeated every "X" amount of units but only one "home system" be where rockets launch from. Interstellar exploration would add the missing ingredient this amazing game needs!

    I've included a p…

Happy New Year from Centauri Spaceworks!

To celebrate the new year, two new custom parts have been created: corridor bend left and corridor bend right.  These two parts let you offset parts with without the sharp corners for a more streamlined appearance.

The part is just slightly larger than a large station module, but narrower than the Voyager X body.  This allows it to be launched with a standard fairing.

You can access these parts by using the Centauri Part Pack for Station Designer .

    Station hunting game!

    December 19, 2018 by MasterPG5

Ok, so I will have more time again to deal with my stuff here on the wiki, and also to play the game. I was thinking about kind of a game when returning to the wiki, and I had an idea. Although Christmas is coming up, and egg-hunting is for Easter, I decided to go for this kind of game.

So, I will make a new sandbox and build one station. I will then edit the sandbox, so that the station doesn't show up in the module menu (just like the Shuttle in mission 30). Your task will be to find it as soon as possible.

If you are interested in this game, leave a comment with your email address below. If enough agencies sign up, I will start the game (I don't want to do it with 1-2 people). The rules, guidelines and prizes will also follow then in anot…

    Holiday Update

    December 15, 2018 by Angrycat9000

There is a new release of the Station Designer app.  The big feature in this release is the ability to load custom parts. This opens up possibilities for new stations designs.  Use the 120° Hub to create hexagonal stations.   Make a grappling station with the CSgtarm.  Build a refinery station with the fuel conversion plant.  The limit is your imagination!

As a second present to everyone, Centauri Spaceworks has released a holiday part pack with two new parts:  Holiday Xmas Module and Holiday Hanukkah Module. Both parts pair nicely with the new Ion Drive part, but can be enjoyed with any of the existing parts.

Right now creating custom parts is a bit of a technical process.  However if you want to give it a try, join the Station Designer Dis…

    Public Image

    December 6, 2018 by Galleigo

It'd been ██ years since its founding in 19██ and the Agency was booming...

    underground.

That was to be expected. The public was thankfully distracted with all the bigger space agencies. Some were the public faces of the Agency, but most were national agencies. The United States and its NASA'd become very popular with the public after their success in the Constellation programme, and the New USSR also gained much publicity thanks to its implementation of what the public nicknamed the "space force".

Really, the only face of the Agency shown to the public was a relatively small office in A██████. Most didn't even know the Agency existed. At least, those not working for governments or holding high positions in a few national space agencies.

    The A…

    - Building exploration vessels

    - Space warfare (STA and ADS vs MSS and another station!). You can also edit the existing stations (obviously!).

    - Dance! Put modules in a specific pattern , play your favourite song and dance!

    - Analyse every planet! ( Launch Orlets 1 around every planet!)

    - Test ADS! Set up your own interceptors and use Ion drives docked to solar panels as asteroids! Otherwise, use station models.

For extra fun, use these on community sandboxes!

The team at Centauri Spaceworks has been busy updating the Station Blueprint Designer app with new features since its initial release.

There were some tricks going on as the app got dressed in a new Halloween themed costume.

Snapping also had a small improvement. Now snapped docking ports are indicated by a circle with a ring around it instead of just changing color. This should make it easier to identify when a docking port is snapped.

There is now also a Discord server if you want to share your creations, post suggestions, be a tester, etc.

The biggest news is that the app also got a new URL: https://stationdesigner.app/ . The new URL and hosting service should make for better looking tweets and easier indexing on search engines.

The reaction wheels can turn space staion without truster propellant, it costs about 60 electricity.

    MSC Defence Fleet Exercise

    November 1, 2018 by Mageti

The Mageti Spaceflight Corporation defence fleet is made up of the space agency's dedicated military vessels, and has the role of ensuring space security - one of its three main mission goals.

At the time of this exercise this fleet consisted of three Abraxis-class frigates and one Valor-class destroyer:

    • Space Frigate Abraxis
    • Space Frigate Ascendance
    • Space Frigate Avenger
    • Space Destroyer Valor

The objective was to demonstrate the fleet's ability to respond to a major threat and concentrate forces against it. Hence, the focus was on manoeuvring and deploying weapons in formation.

This was achieved satisfactorily: the four vessels managed to assume their positions with the destroyer leading and the frigates flanking and tailing, from their location…

    Space Frigate Avenger

    October 31, 2018 by Mageti
    NaviComp Code: AVG

The Avenger is the third Abraxis-class frigate constructed by the Mageti Spaceflight Corporation.

Experience gained from the construction of larger vessels such as the Destiny and in particular the Majestic Aster allowed multiple payload launching to become much more efficient. As a result, the Avenger was assembled in less time and with significantly fewer launches than the Abraxis and Ascendance. One result of the difference in assembly process is that the ship shows a physical difference to the others preceding it in the oritentation of the fore-most hub. The greatest breakthrough was the six explosive module payload train which demonstrated the ability to fully arm frigates of this class in a single launch.

    Space Destroyer Valor

    October 23, 2018 by Mageti
    NaviComp Code: VAL

The Valor is an advanced space destroyer of the Mageti Spaceflight Corporation fleet, designed to protect friendly assets over large areas of space, at long distances from HOM. Its design is considered a descendant of the Abraxis-class frigate, with which it shares many features, and also incorporates elements from the prototype destroyer.

In order to achieve its goals, the Valor has a larger fuel store to give it increased range compared to the Abraxis-class, and retains the same engine layout for full manoeuvrability: it is capable of rapid and sustained acceleration, deceleration, rotation and yaw-free lateral movement. The crew facilities allow prolonged self-sufficient operation.

    Planned Space Destroyer

    October 20, 2018 by Mageti

Following the successful introduction of the Mageti Spaceflight Corporation's command ship the Majestic Aster, the frigates Abraxis and Ascendance have been assigned as its escorts, partly due to their relatively small fuel capacity. This opens up a requirement for the design and construction of a more self-sufficient class of vessels with greater range and powerful offensive weaponry capable of independently patrolling the system at greater distances from HOM and for greater periods of time.

The design of this vessel is in its final stages, and bears many similarities to both the Abraxis-class and the prototype space destroyer. It will have a similar engine layout, escape capsules and radar systems, but larger fuel stores, more crew facili…

The Majestic Aster is the result of a large scale project to incorporate the headquarters of Mageti Spaceflight Corporation into a mobile and self-sufficient space vessel. It is by far the largest ship ever built by the space agency, dwaring the Destiny by over a factor of three in terms of module number. In terms of width, it has been calculated to be 308m wide, three times the width of the International Space Station .

The interplanetary shuttle program has been created to allow for further colonisation and exploration of the solar system. Multiple companies and other space agencies have requested for several interplanetary shuttles to be created, with 2 cargo ships and 1 crew transport ship. This mission also requires the creation of a space station, to be named SSH (SOL Space Hub) at a central location in the system. The approximate location is: 500, -2000.

    Moving HQ to space

    September 28, 2018 by Mageti

Mageti Spaceflight Corporation is planning on executing its next major step: relocating its headquarters to space!

This has been deemed feasible after considering the experience gained from building and operating large spacecraft, especially the highly advanced Destiny, which have proven to be mobile and self-sufficient. The construction of a vessel capable of hosting the headquarters effectively is therefore certainly possible.

As a result, this project has entered the design stage.

The resulting craft is likely to be large; coupled with its need for mobility and endurance, this will provide an opportunity to utilise ion drives to their full potential, perhaps even resulting in their exclusive use for propulsion. If achieved, it would be an …
